Sharon Mellen played Volleyball for the Dons from 1984 to 1987, was named MVP in 1987, and she was added to the 30th Anniversary Team in 2006. She played basketball her senior year, and graduated with a Bachelor's in 1988.
The Dons will be further aided by two new players this year. Senior center Sharon Mellen and sophomore forward Ann Podesta, who were both members of the Spikers volleyball team,and played basketball in high school, have joined the Dons. Mellen was All-Marin County Athletic League in basketball, where she led her team to a conference title in 1984. Senior middle blocker Sharon Mellen led the team in kills with 240 overall, and had a 2-6 average per game (TheFoghorn).
