The all-important pitching staff is headed by ace hurler Joe Gualco. It is expected that Gualco will face Santa Clara's Jan Dukes in the season's lid lifter. Tom Basinki, a Southern California transfer to USF, and Roger Strack, a hometown product, are both hard-throwing right handers who could very well get the nod Sunday. Southpaws Ron Dinslage and Dave Holquin balance out the Dons starting hurlers, while Rich Hinkie and Mike Delagnes will get mound duty as relievers (TheFoghorn).
