Macdonell was a native of Atherton abd graduated in 1982, and she played tennis for the Dons. 

Debbie MacDonell holds down the No. 3 singles spot for the team. She has also had a poor start: but is now playing with more confidence. Debbie's singles and doubles wins were the difference in the 5-4 victory over Loyola (USFFoghorn).
