Fernando Rosales, Soccer Player (USF: 1968-1969)
The former Don made the 1968 El Salvador Olympic team. At USF, he played on the 1969 NCAA Finals team and earned All-American Honorable Mention Honors that year as well.

Three of the newcomers have played for their country's National or Olympic team. Alex Roboostoff, brother of Connie, is a 26-year-old rookie, who played on the Olympic team with Ivanow. Forward Torgeir Hague is 20 years old and has been named to the Norwegian National team seven times. Fernando Rosales was a member of Salvador's Olympic team before coming to the Hilltop. Joining these three are Hans Freissen, Annibal Babarez, and Salvador Ochoa, among others.

In the second half, the Dons played their style superbly. Playing a methodical, yet pressing type of game, USF wore down CCSF to such a point that they resort to physical abuse in order to stop the Green and Gold. USF's second goal came on a pass from Emilio Ugarte to Alex Roboostoff, a shot by Roboostoff, and a rebound shot by Fernando Rosales, to score the goal. Rosales, along with Juan Vallejo, Mike Laurel, and Connie Roboostoff rambled all over the field to stifle the Ram offense. They followed the ball from goal line to goal line (TheFoghorn).
