Dawn Baker attended Ontario High School in Ontario, CA and played Center for their Basketball team, averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds. She first attended UCLA and played for the Bruins. She earned multiple honors: First Team All CIF selection,  All-League, All-Inland Empire, and All-San Bernadino County.  She was a CA Scholar Athlete of the Year award winner and CA Scholarship Federation winner in 1991.  She transferred to USF and played for the Dons. 6' 2", she played Center.
