Sara Cowey earned her Bachelor's in Mathematics at USF in 1990 and went on to earn a Master's in Education at Cal State University East Bay in 2015. She has worked in Education since 1990. She played soccer for the Dons from 1986 to 1990.
Visser also looks for help from returnees Joan Harrington, Sarah Cowey, and Sharon Breville, who "developed into one of our best defenders last year." Meanwhile, there will be some new names in the Dons lineup. Notable among them is Anne Olson, a center forward from Denmark with significant experience in soccer leagues in that country. "Anne should combine with Shanna to give us significantly more scoring punch." A USF tradition will continue with the arrival of freshman Margaret Lucey from Presentation High School in San Francisco. Five of her older brothers and sisters attended school on the Hilltop (TheFoghorn).
