As the fans in the stands continued to shout wildly, the play continued fast and furious. With fourteen minutes to go, Jaime Mejivar acted on a timely assist from Paul korn to score another USF goal. As the clock ran on, the Dons attempted both to get the ball past the Spartan defense and to keep the San Jose players out of their own goal range. With a two-point lead, anything could happen with fourteen minutes left in the game. And it did. Six minutes later, a penalty kick was assessed against USF which once more narrowed the Don lead to a single point (TheFoghorn).
