Game two proved to be the most exciting game of the series as the Toreros scored twice in the eighth to defeat thc Dons 7-6. The Dons received a scare as shortstop Paolo Delia Bordella was struck on his throwing hand by a Jeff Ferguson fastball, following a Campas home run. Ernie Heath moved over to play short as junior Pete Columbo entered the game at second. Amie Sambel gave the Dons a 3-2 lead in the fifth as, belted his fifth homer of the season. USD tied the score in thc sixth and took a two-run lead into the bottom of the seventh and final inning. The Dons rallied to tie as Sambel and Langowski had RBI doubles, but once again, the rally was all for naught, as theToreros came up with two more runs in the eighth to win. Sophomore Ron Ardissone took the loss for USF.

Sunday, the Dons continued their winning ways as they once again defeated St. Mary's 6-3. This marked the first game of the series that the Dons didn't score first. This wasn't about to stop the Dons as Campas and Ernie Heath showed poise and senior leadership in coming up with clutch hits and propelling the Dons to victory (TheFoghorn).
