The Dons search the field as a result of a ground thrust with Ollie Matson, John Finney and Roy Barni doing most of the damage. From six yards out, halfback  John Finney skirted around from behind a tremendous block put up by Ollie Matson and sailed in for the first score. In the second quarter, the Dons piled their lead to 21-0, the first coming as a result of a 55 yard drive in which Ed Brown piled Into paydirt. With just a minute and a half left to go in the second period, the Dons rolled up touchdown number three as John Finney snagged a pass from Ryan in the end  zone (TheDon).
