Krissy Harris played three sports at Saint Helena High School. The 1997 graduate excelled in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She earned a spot in their Hall of Fame in 2013. She recorded 1,000 career points in basketball and 1,000 kills in volleyball. Harris was a two-time Superior California Athletic League MVP in basketball along with being a two-time All Napa County and Napa Rotary Winter Club Athlete of the Year award winner and became the first female track and field athlete in school history to reach the state meet. She was Team MVP in volleyball as a senior.

Harris remains in the school record book in the high jump (5’-4.25”) and pole vault (8’-6”), the latter record of which she broke three times. Harris sowed the seeds for her State qualifying senior season by placing third in the high jump and fifth in the pole vault at the Subsection meet as a junior.

In volleyball, Harris remains among the all-time leaders in kills on both the single-season and career levels. Despite having a rich volleyball history, the Saints missed the playoffs during her sophomore and junior seasons. In her senior campaign, St. Helena reached the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs and as a No. 10 seed and upset No. 7 Patterson (15-12, 15-12, 15-10). Harris was Team MVP that season.

In basketball with Harris leading the way, the Saints won 61 games in a three-year span from 1995-1997 including a playoff win over Mariposa. After high school, Krissy went on to play basketball at University of San Francisco (Division 1) from 1997 to 1998, before moving to Pacific Union College where she played both basketball and volleyball for the Pioneers (shhs.sthelenaunified.org).
