A native of Sacramento, Gregory Vervais graduated in 1969 in Accounting, and works at Vervais Associates in Walnut Creek, a Business Consulting Firm. At USF, he was a member of Alpha Delta Gamma.
Copping all six singles matches, the USF Don netsmen blew the St. Mary's Gaels off their Moraga courts, 8-1, for their first victory this season. John Carpenter opened the rout with a 7-5, 6-4, sweep over Gael ace George Chu. Al Barrett followed with a whitewashing of SM's Mark Dubois 6-3, 6-2, and Greg Vervais handled his opponent in like fashion, 6-4, 6-4. Bob Futernick (6-2, 6-1), Williams (6-2, 6-0) and Dave Rychel (6-1, 4-6, 7-5) then ran the consecutive set string to eleven, before the Moragamen could take a set (TheFoghorn).
