Christopher M. DeLuca was born on August 7, 1946. He attended St. Jerome's Catholic School and Loyola High School, having won a four year scholarship. He entered USF and, at the end of his 2nd year at USF, suffered a bad fall, forcing him to return home to Los Angeles for physical therapy. He was able to continue his college education at Long Beach State and graduated with a Teacher's Degree, majoring in English. Chris then pursued a teaching career. Chris got a position as substitute teacher, teaching many subjects in Los Angeles and Inglewood Schools. He also taught night classes in English as a 2nd Language. Chris often worked in the family jewelry stores, helping in the Accounting Department (LATimes).
