All the ingredients seemed to be in place for a USF run to the top of the WCC standings. In pre-conference play, Don cagers relied on their team quickness, full-court defense, and unselfish offensive play that has resulted in five Dons averaging double digit scoring numbers. Tim Owens led the team with 15.9 points a game, Darryl Johnson was right behind him with 14.4, Orlando Smart (12.4), Kevin Weeks (11.6), and Travis Bice (10.3) fill out USF's scoring balance (TheFoghorn).
