The Don's Cross Country team improved tremendously this 1983 Fall Season, not only in racing ability but in it's enthusiasm. The Don's victoriously ran against such Bay Area college teams as Santa Clara, St. Mary's, College of Notre Dame, and Mills on several occasions. The Dons traveled further to Oregon to compete in the NORPAC championships. Coaches Sue Rojcewicz and Colonel Russ Calvert combined everlasting support with rigorous training sessions to make this season an enjoyable and memorable experience for the team (TheDon).

This year the men's squad is led by three strong veterans from last year's team while the addition of four new runners will also help the team. Senior Frank Scariano, who has run for the Dons for three years, feels that the "enthusiasm and perseverance of the new coaches will carry through to the team" and he invites more people to see what the USF Cross Country team has to offer (TheFoghorn).
