The most successful basketball season St. Ignatius ever had, has just slipped by into history. And with its passage a tradition has been left for future court stars to glance at and strive to emulate. For the first time since athletics were introduced into the high school, two S. F. A. L. championships were captured, when our Red and Blue athletes decisively outclassed all outside competition in basketball. The addition of Claney and Morrissey materially strengthened our welterweights and before the S. F. A. L. opened, they were conceded the silver medals without a murmur. MeCormick was chosen to captain the champions (TheIgnatian).
