Men's Soccer (1992-1994)

Matt Beavers played soccer for the Dons and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelors in Political Science and Public Administration. He played with the USA team U20 in the 1993 World Cup. He works at ed Exhibits as a Senior Vice President in Las Vegas.

If anything positive could be extracted from the season, it's that while seniors were projected as being the leaders, the younger players were the ones who came through. Freshman Jason Wescott and transfers Josh McKay and Matt Beavers, along with Knut Leroy and Ankist Zadcyan, were coming through down the stretch.

The Dons opened up the tournament with an easy victory over Charlotte, 4-1. Cato Solberg scored his sixth goal on the year with the assist coming from Ken Folan and Staale Soebye. Greg Vandenberg assisted Shane Watkins' fifth goal, then put one in himself with that assist credited to Matt Beavers. Finally, Matt Goldberg blasted the fourth score en route to the 4-1 final (TheFoghorn).
