Career Highlights: Four-year letter winner for Cross Country; MVP of the Kendrick Hall rugby team in 1976 
 
Biography: Maguire ran for the cross country team for four years on the Hilltop, and also participated in some track meets. He came close to a five minute mile (5:06) and placed in the top half of many cross country meets. Maguire also played clarinet and drums in the band for basketball games. After earning his undergrad degree, Maguire attended USF law school from 1974-1976 and played intramural rugby for the Law School team. 

Why Maguire Chose USF: "I wanted to eventually go to law school."

Favorite USF Memories: "Our cross country and track team did not travel extensively but we had camaraderie on our trips to various parts of Northern California. It was a great experience."

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: "I developed many lifelong friendships."

Life After USF: Maguire has practiced law for over 40 years, and founded his own law firm which has eight attorneys and was the largest law firm in Marin in the early 1990s.
