Top players to date have been pitchers Ken Bowman and Joe Taboni. Both men are strong righthanders who could greatly help the Dons. Bowman is a freshman while Taboni is a transfer from UC Santa Barbara. Returnees from last year's squad include All-conference center fielder Tad Tassone, third baseman Stan Tsukamoto, and everybody's buddy, Gary Senn, a catcher.
Highlights of the second game were an eight-run scoring outburst in the first and Dave Hoffman's towering home run to left. John Cosmos, Gary Senn, Ray Speediacci, Larry Jones and Stan Tsukamoto all had hits in the inning with Curran, Senn, Speediacci. Jones and third baseman Tsukamoto getting RBIs. Tsukamoto was a perfect 3 for 3 on the afternoon. Curran and Cosmos each had two hits. Hoffman hit his first home run of the year in tho sixth, he now has a slugging percentage of 1.000 (TheFoghorn).
