The number of USF soccer players named to 1997 all- West Coast Conference teams. Senior Amy Yamamoto earned first-team honors for the Dons, and her teammate, freshman defender Melissa Lentz, was a second- team selection. The Dons also placed four others on the honorable mention list, senior forwards Heather Wright and Jennifer Moreci, junior forward Kishandee Green and junior goalkeeper Amy Voiland. For the men, senior Keith Ratzburg was named to the first-team, sophomore midfielder Per Christian Larsen was selected to the second-team, and sophomore midfielder Alexander Akerjordet and junior midfielder Jordi Esteban were honorable mention choices.
The 1997 squad showcased powerful forwards, Jennifer Moreci and Heather Wright* who combined for many of the Dons' scoring opportunities. Now that San Francisco has lost those two strikers, David and Green have the responsibility of filling the shoes left by Moreci and Wright (TheFoghorn).
