The Dons will be led by seniors Denise Kenyon, Jenny Clabaugh, Jenny Moreci and last year's co-captain Colette Hanlon who was also a WCC second team member. Other key returners in the strong junior class are Amy Voiland, the team's number one goal-keeper who was injured for the majority of last season, defender Mary O'Donnell, forward Amy Yamamoto and midfielder Stephanie Steinhart. Returning sophomores include mid-fielder Patricia Simons, defender Taja Toben, and goalkeeper Sandy Draghi, who played much of last season during Voiland's absence. Five newly recruited freshmen will be added to the team for the 1996 season.
"We should be pleased with our performances," Coach Verhees said of the team's first half. "We are inconsistent at times, but have definitely had moments of brilliance. Colette Hanlon, Kelli Bryant, Sara Lang, Denise Kenyon, Jenny Clabaugh, and Mary O'Donnell have had very steady performances." Verhees feels the team will have a productive second half because they have "developed well, gained experience and can rely on depth (TheFoghorn)."
