William Alfred Maffei graduated in History in 1968. He was a member of the Club Council, Historical Society, the Irish Club and was on the President's Honor Roll.
In the cool 60 degree temperatures, League took over first place after about the first quarter mile and led the rest of the way. Tom Sweet, and his Milky Way machine, took 6th, with Bill Maffei 14th, Mike Felkins 15th, Walt Pavicek 16th, and Paul Janicki 17th. The Dons had 49 points. SSC 37, and MAC 34.
Twenty-four senior ROTC cadets at USF have been appointed to the Distinguished Military Student list for the 1969-1970 school year, announced Colonel Vernon F. Gilbert. Professor of Military Science here. The Distinguished Military Student appointment is made on the basis of: rank in college classes, class rank in Military Science III, demonstrated leadership qualities, and a display of moral character. Consideration for this award is made on the basis of personal observance on the part of the Professor of Military Science and the student's academic records.
