  • Class
    1970
  • Honors
    Baseball (1965-1966), Football (1965-1969)
A  native of Dinuba, CA, Peter Sparks was a member of Scabbard and Blade and graduated in 1970 in History. He played both baseball and football for the Dons, the latter as a 175 lb. safety and place-kicker.

The Dons offense showed signs of life early in the fourth quarter. They marched deep into Gael territory. When the attack bogged down on the eight, Pete Sparks kicked a twenty-five yard field goal to give the Hilltoppers a 10-7 lead. Following an exchange of punts, the Moragans had the ball on their own sixteen yard line with seven minutes to play.

This year the backfield is even stronger. Rich Figoni, a starter in 1966, has been moved back from offense. With Figoni, Hall, Lopez, Pete Sparks, and Phil Kelly, the Green and Gold has its best backfield corps in years (TheFoghorn).
