Holly Froloff was a transfer from Utah State in 1993 after her freshman year, and was a native of San Jose, CA. She attended Piedmont High School, and at 5' 10" played left-side hitter. Froloff was a two-sport star (volleyball, soccer) who earned All-League honors in both sports in high school. After a season at USF in 1994, she transferred to San Jose State University and played from 1996-1997.

Juniors Kelly Harris, the league leader in digs, and sophomore Holly Froloff, sixth in league in digs, each had 17 kills to pace the Dons. Froloff also posted a career high .410 attack percentage, and junior Alex Christadded 11 kills and led the team in digs with 16 (TheFoghorn).
