The USF men's cross country team will begin its new season tomorrow at the Fresno Stale Invitational with an added member to the squad. The new member is Dave Hadfield, who is better recognized as a forward on the Men's Basketball team. Dave, who saw limited action last year as an injured Junior, decided to letter in two sports after doing quite a bit of running during the summer. His participation on the team should better prepare him for the upcoming basketball season.
Country team competes at Stanford in the world renowned Stanford Invitational, which boasts of fielding most of the nation's top runners. exceedingly fast performances of 35:19 and 33:46 minutes, respectively. Best efforts were also contributed by USF basketball player turned X-Country runner, Dave Hadfield, with a surprising time of 40:03 minutes
Rumor has it that President Carter will appoint our own Father LoSchiavo as domestic advisor in charge of balancing the budget and improving relations with the U.S. Senate. Dave Hadfield, the Dons reserve reserve forward has been going around singing "Do you know the way to San Jose?" and will be seen in a Spartan's uniform next year — which will have as much impact on USF basketball as Phillip Crane's candidacy had on the Republican Party.
