After 10 out of 11 on the road, the Dons returned home to lose five straight over spring break. Loyola Marymount rallied from a 6-0 deficit in the opener of the home stand with seven runs in the last four innings to beat the Dons in a heartbreaker. The last one came on Chris Donnels' double after Steve Berriatua missed a potential game-ending double play ball. "I feel bad, because if I field that ball we win the game,"' said Berriatua. "But we"re all out there giving 110 percent. Everybody's ready to play but we're not getting the breaks."

Steve Berriatua homered in the win. San Diego visits Benedetti for a three game set this weekend in a series that the Diamond Dons feel is crucial to reversing their record in the WCAC. O'Shea will pitch today's opener. Gaggero and Mike Supple will get starts in Saturday's doubleheader. NOTES: Steve Berriatua leads the Dons with a .427 batting average after the weekend's action. His on-base percentage is an even more impressive .535 (TheFoghorn).
