Jack Scramaglia was born on July 25, 1937 in San Francisco, and grew up on 11th avenue in the Sunset with many family and friends. Jack received his education from St. Ignatius in San Francisco. He later pursued his Bachelors from the University of San Francisco. He was a teacher for 40 years and retired from Roosevelt Middle school.
He was well known for his baseball career and opportunity to play on the SF Giants farm team. He was part of the Old Timers Baseball Association, Green Jackets Dante Benedetti luncheons, and SF Track and Field Athletic department. He served on the San Francisco Preparatory Board of Directos from 2005 to 2023. He was inducted into the San Francisco Preparatory and North Beach Hall of Fame in 1977.
