Shortly after LeFaure's tally, All-American candidate and '72 Olympian Alex Roboostoff scored on a short kick with an assist from captain Al Werner. About 30 seconds after Roboostoff's goal, Leon Heitman netted his second on probably the finest scoring shot of the contest. He booted the ball from the center of the field about twenty yards from the goal. The ball ripped past Polulyach and the Dons led 7-0. A minute after this score, Friessen again took advantage of Russian disorganization and scored his third goal of the day with a swift shot from the corner (TheFoghorn).
