Men's Basketball (1999-2002)

A native of San Francisco, Harris was a three-time letter winner who played for the Dons from 1999-2002...he played in 20 career games where...in his freshman campaign in the 1999-2000 season he appeared in eight games where he scored one point and grabbed four rebounds...in his final year on the Hilltop he appeared in nine games playing 14 minutes. At USF, Harris was honored with the “We Play Hard” Award for his dedication and work ethic. Harris was a three-time recipient of the Jackie Robinson Award, given to the African-American male student-athlete with the greatest scholastic achievement. Harris attended USF from Daly City's Bridgemont High, where he left as the school's All-Time leading scorer. A graduate of USF, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in 2002 and then went on to earn his Master’s Degree in 2004. He received his second Master’s Degree from California Baptist University.

Harris joined the Skyline coaching staff upon graduation and worked with Head Coach Justin Piergrossi for 17 years as an Assistant Coach. As a member of the Skyline coaching staff, Harris helped coach many players who were able to continue their playing careers at the university level and six players who have signed professional contracts. Harris helped guide the program to many academic accomplishments as well. Skyline was a finalist for the prestigious Scholar Team Award on five different occasions, winning the award in 2009-2010. During his time on staff at Skyline, 96 percent of the players who completed two years in the program earned their Associate's Degree or transferred to a four-year school.

In addition to coaching at Skyline College, Harris served as an adjunct faculty instructor in the Kinesiology, Athletics, and Dance department for fourteen years. He has also served as the director of various basketball camps in the Bay Area, including the Legarza Summer Basketball Camps, one of the largest camps in Northern California.

Eddy Harris joined at Cañada College as Head Coach in 2021. His brother, Booker, is an Assistant Coach for the Academy of Art basketball team in the City.
