This year's Frosh baseball team, under the capable direction of coaches Phil Vukichevich and Dan Benedetti, showed great promise for the future. Not only did the team have abundant talent, but also possessed genuine determination and strong desire. Leading the power-packed team was slugger Bob Pindroh, who held down the first base position.

Second base and shortstop were capably handled by Rick Kuhtn and Tom Anderson, respectively. Third base was backed by the able fielding of Nick Willard, and the catching chores were shared by Ron Redmond and Dan Quinn.

Hard firing pitchers Roger Strack and John Anderson along with hustling outfielders Joe McNeil and Lon Gallagher rounded out the powerful club. With this kind of talent at hand, US baseball fans can look forward to great success in the future as these players move up.

With the loss of only five players to graduation, and the return of nine veterans, the Don baseball team proved to be a substantial threat this season. Joe Gualco headed the pitching staff. He was backed-up by returning Dave Holquin and Roger Strack, Frank McGee, Rich Hinkle, Ron Dinslage, and Mike Delagnes from the frosh team. First baseman Bob Pindroh led the infield with Rick Kuhta on second, Biff Barnes at short stop and Mike Delagnes at third. Dan Quinn guarded home plate. Phil Wanlinput down his football helmet to work in the outfield with Nick Willard and Joe Gill. Head Coach Dan Benedetti moved up from Frosh Coach to take over the reins from George McGlynn (TheDon).

A native of Redwood City, Quinn graduated in History in 1968. He was a member of Alpha Delta Gamma and was a yell leader his sophomore year.
