Melinda Mattingly played soccer at Upland high School as a forward and played from 1990 to 1993 for the Dons.
The Dons will once again have a strong defense. Led by Sargent, the defense looks to be even stronger this year with the return of sophomores Brooke Tillemans, Melinda Mattingly, and junior Reka Maximovitch. Thc goalkeepers this year will be veteran Aileen Blackburn and freshman Wingert. Senior forward Kathleen Lucey is a big contributor this year. The goals for this season are simple for Head Coach Verhees. "This is the year for USF women's soccer to develop an identity," hc says. "What that means is developing a competitive Division I program where speed and physical play are your key assets to winning games (TheFoghorn)."
