Hilltoppers dropped three in a row, including the Don's only loss ever to Gonzaga. Losing these games ruined their previously perfect conference record, and puts them out of contention for the WCC title and a playoff berth. Knowing this, and playing for pride, the Dons defeated 18th-ranked California at Negoesco stadium 3-2 Tuesday night. The overtime win was the Hilltoppers third win this season against a top 20 opponent, serving to accentuate the peaks and valleys of this roller coaster season.
