Sophomore sensation Bob Schmitt. who double sas the baseball Don's regular second-sacker was the most consistent and dependable runner for USFthis season. He finished first among Don runner in every race he ran for thc Dons this season. Bob Schmitt. the main thrust of a potent Don attack, paced USF runners and finished in the top 25 places with a near personal record of 28.44 for the flat 10.000 meter course. Second for the hilltop was veteran runner and possible academic All- Northern California candidate Brian O'Donnell. O'Donnell ran a personal best 40:06. and justified his post-season nomination throughout the road swing. Schmitt was a double winner as he captured top eating honors at the post-race dinner held at a Chinese restaurant (TheFoghorn).
