Ross Guidice's yearlings fought down to the wire and neither club was sure of the outcome until the final buzzer. Frosh star Ron Cox, a cut over his eye, was forced from the game with 4:40 remaining. The score was 41-36. The Frosh tried to close the gap, but the clock and George Jercich's one-handed push were too much.

"But," Woolpert says, "we won't really know until we see the team under fire as to how the team has shaped up." Cunningham's acceptance to the center slot is very good. Big Mike Preaseau is very strong on the boards as well as being a good hustler. "Bob Radanovich," the coach said, "has shown the biggest improvement since last season, and, reserve Ron Cox is outstanding on offense (TheFoghorn)."
