52 JOHN SAICH F 6-7 202 Jr CUPERTINO: Hailed as one of the best fundamental players on the Dons, John Saich led the 1971-72 Dons in shooting percentages — 64.0% from the field and 77.8% from the line. John also possesses tremendous leaping ability which, coupled with his tenacity, make him a tough board man. His greatest attribute, however, appears to be his intelligence and coolness in pressure situations. Last season, John played his best game coming off the bench against NevadaReno. Playing mostly in the second half, Big Joh n stormed the court for 21 big points to lead the team. Coming to the Hilltop from Homestead High School, John was an All-League, All-County and All-Central Coast performer. A Sociology major, John adds power and accuracy to the USF squad (TheFoghorn).
