Looking forward to next year, and hopefully to a brighter future, USF has had top freshmen signing. They are: point guard Michael Colter of Austin, Texas, and forwards Myron Richardson (Elk Grove HS), Damian Raibon (St. Margaret's HS/ San Juan Capistrano) and Jason Johnson scoring from a year ago. He averaged 15.7 an excellent early signing period, with Columbus, NE, HS).
But the possible cream of the Dons' freshman crop could very well be Myron Richardson, who spent his prep seasons at Elk Grove HS, former home of one-time USF Don (and current SuperSonic) Bill Cartwright. An All-State small forward, the 6' 6" Richardson (16 ppg, 8 rpg) seems to have the tools that go far beyond those that can be read in statistics. "We beat some quality teams to get him," commented Brovelli. "He should be an impact player for us."
Dons freshman Myron Richardson, who had played just five minutes this season without scoring, left USF for Drake College in Des Moines. 6' 7", 205 lbs. He was a native of Elk Grove, CA (TheFoghorn).
