A native of Naples, Italy, Landolfi played soccer for the Dons, and graduated in Math in 1961. He was a member of the Math Club and the Hispanic-American Club.
In a preliminary game the USF JVs defeated the St. Ignatius High School team 3-1. Joe Granados scored twice and John Landolfi once for the JVs. Roy Repeck scored for the Wildcats.
Other varsity men who are returning are George Tubman, Sal Iraheta, and Ed Duran. Just a few or the JV players who will be fighting for varsity berths are Rene Brimo, Jairo and Jose Granados, John Landolfi, Leslie Lezcano, Marcello Gumucio, Mauricio Salaverria, and Kent Steele.
Based on the appearance of the squad in the game with the Bears, the Don attack should prove fruitful with the help of Galonge, Jacques, Fred Savage, George Hernandez and John Hoshimi in the forward wall. George Tubman was hurt in the Cal game and may see limited service, if any, in the game tomorrow. Gus Marudos, outstanding goalie, will most likely turn in a good show blocking any scoring attempts that get by the defensive wall, composed of Grauert, Ysrael, Contreras, Lopez, Zelaya, and Landolfi (TheFoghorn).
