At the beginning of the second half, the second string offense broke the game open with a five goal barrage. For a time it seemed that the reserves had learned to work together. Felklano began the deluge with a left footed shot from the right side of the field. Salvador Ochoa scored the Dons fourth goal on a 30 yard shot from the right corner. Before the visiting team could settle down from their previous setbacks, Shaw Dehghan and Larry Dineen smashed in two more 10 yard shots from the left and right sides of the field respectively. USF struck "pay-dirt" for the final time when Dehghan shoved in a rebounding shot from the foot of Leon Heitman (TheFoghorn).
