1965 USF Soccer Team Dons on Parade would be more correct as the whole University of San Francisco soccer team receives the honors this week. It would be hard to choose a single outstanding performer after the terrific victory over San Jose for the league title. Coach Steve Negoesco's charges blanked the Spartans 1-0 in search for the league title and the right to represent the league in the Regionals. Sharing the honors are: Ric Olivas, Jim Spagnole, Henry Lopez-Contreras, Eduardo Rangell, Fred Shamzad, Hernan Mesones, Sandor Hites, Manuel Suffle, Lothor Osiander, Terry MacRenato, Pat Presentin, Jerry Katzef, Luis Sagastume, Al Tsacle, and Coaches Negoesco and Vic Saiz. It has been quite a year for the team and it will be a tough challenge when they go to the Regionals and then maybe onto St. Louis and the championship (TheFoghorn).
A member and Secretary of Alpha Delta Gamma, Presentin graduated with a Bachelor's in English in 1967, played soccer for the Dons.
Patrick Presentin writes, “I’m grateful to continue to practice Law part-time, play over-65 soccer, and enjoy health with Margaret and our four children and six grandchildren. We’re simplifying — we just sold our first real car, a 1968 green Volvo 122s purchased in Germany. We kept the memories of 53 years (USFMagazine).”
