The varsity squad was cut to a workable unit of 16 men last Wednesday. Those surviving the cut are Paul Napolitano, Ross Giudice, Harold DeJulio, Abe Rodriquez, John Desmond, Art Cornwell, Joe Ferguson, Ray Driscoll, Bill Gibson, Hal Beveridge, Jack Flaherty, Jack Hafner, Jack Dooling, John Bennington, Jack Hanley, and Ray Stanzell (TheFoghorn).

Jack Hafner was a native of San Francisco and graduated in Economics in 1947 and then entered the U.S. Navy.
