RUNNING. . . . On October Ist. history was made for the USF cross country team. The Dins successfully won their first meet. The team's enthusiasm was high that sunny. Saturday morning at the Crystal Springs course in Belmont. The opposing team. College of Notre Dame, seemed taken back by USF's running talent as well as its team spirit, which was exuberant that day. The men's and women's teams ran the 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) race separately with both teams winning by a far margin. The scores for the men's and women's teams respectively were: USF 21 — N.D. 35 and USF 26 — N.D., 32. USF runners attacked the course with several personal record times for this particular run.
