2002 (Senior):Â Pitched in five games with one start...went 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA.
2001 (Junior): Pitched in only six games, all in relief…struck out a season-high three batters in 1.2 innings against UCLA (Feb. 2)…allowed only 4-of-10 inherited runners to score…worked his way out of four bases loaded situations…made three brief outings in the WAC going two innings allowing four runs with one strikeout and four walks…opponents batted .400 against him (RH .412; LH .333).
2000 (Sophomore): Pitched in just four games in relief early in the season…sidelined the remainder of the season with a nagging injury.
1999: Redshirted.
1998 (Freshman):Â Played his freshman season at USF.
Prep: A 1997 graduate of Iolani School in Honolulu…earned all-league honors twice and was also selected to the all-state second team…as a junior, had a microscopic 1.70 ERA…recorded a state American Legion record of 19 strikeouts in a game.
Personal: Born in Honolulu…majoring in history…parents are Patricia and Russell Yamamoto (HawaiiAthletics).
