Frederick Savage

Fred Savage was born on June 3, 1932, in Lima, Peru, to Frederick Savage and Margaret Begg. 

Upon graduation from high school, Savage traveled to the United States and worked multiple jobs to pay for college  at the USF. An excellent soccer player, he played soccer on a NCAA Tournament winning team. He graduated with a Degree in Business in 1962, and he returned to Peru to work for an American Mining company, and lived there until 1971 when political unrest there made it necessary to return to the U.S., and he settled in Fairfield, CT.

Savage worked in several executive positions in manufacturing companies until retirement. Through the years Fred also enjoyed coaching youth soccer, running, golf, and dancing. He became a great runner, competing in over 70 marathons. He was also an accomplished ballroom dancer (NationalCremation).
 

Burenin, Savage Honored at USF

At the USF soccer dinner last Saturday Serge Burenin wee voted the “Most Valuable” player, end Fred Savage, the "Most Inspirational." Burenin has been nominated for the All-America Collegiate Soccer team, having received more votes for the honor then any other player In local history (TheMonitor).
