The victory against San Jose displayed a total team effort both offensively and defensively. Kaiser struck for 26 kills at a .357 hitting clip complemented by 18 digs and three service aces. Kaiser was supported by Tschannen's 23 kills, freshman Megan Morse's 13 kills, and sophomore Carrie Dunlap's 10 kills and .389 attack percentage. #12 Kim Goodwin and #14 Rachael Waitt stuffed a San Jose spike. On defense, seven players combined for 24 block assists and 13 total team blocks, highlighted by Tschannen's six block assists and junior Kim Goodwin's six block assists. Morse was the defensive star of the match with 23 digs. "The players exhibited a whole different type of confidence and leadership," said Coach Bethanis. "They really exerted a positive leadership which enabled them to play at a higher level. However, I'm only cautiously happy (TheFoghorn).
