Sarah Bagby

Sarah Bagby was born in Portland, and graduated with the first class of girls at "all boys" Jesuit High School in Beaverton, Oregon.

At Jesuit, she was a 2-time Oregon High School Soccer "Player of the Year". She transferred from the University of San Francisco shere she player for the Dons for one season. She returned to the University of Oregon to play in the first season of the Ducks soccer team while earning her degree in Broadcast Journalism from 1997-2001.  She did a year abroad at the University of Nairobi in Internaitonall Studies in 1999. 

During and after college, she traveled through Africa and parts of Europe doing different jobs in journalism, including writing for The Standard newspaper in Kenya and assisting the Ministry of Tourism for Eastern Africa.

She began her broadcast news career in Eugene at KMTR in 2001 and earned her meteorology certificate from Mississippi State in 2005 before joining the morning news team for KOIN in Portland. Later she worked as a traffic anchor at KATU. She She also works as a licensed real estate broker in both Oregon and Washington (KATU News, Portland).
