During the Pacific Northwest road trip however, important developments occurred which could ignite a turnaround in the latter part of the Dons' season. The depth that the team desperately needs finally began to materialize as substitutes Sasha Browne, Jennifer Hughes, and Kim Goodwin saw extensive playing time. Co-captain Deanne Anastas finally came out healthy and displayed her impact as she devoured Portland for a phenomenal 30 kills and 17 digs (TheFoghorn).
