Joseph Edward Williams was born on November 12, 1966 in San Francisco. at 6' 1", 185 lbs., he batted and threw right and played outfield.  He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 32nd round of the 1987 MLB June Amateur Draft from University of San Francisco.
