Christopher Gargaetas

  • Class
    1942
  • Honors
    Football (1936-1939)
Gargaetas was a 5' 10", 203 lbs. native of Cresnet City, CA and played guard for the Dons.

Four guards have moved up, Pieretti and Kennedy from the regulars, Gargaetas and Everding from the seconds. They held up well for Kleckner and will add man-power to the guard situation. Pieretti is surprisingly fast for his weight. Guider and Sulzbacher understudied Stinson. They are both rather light for varsity linemen. The jump from frosh to varsity is a long one, and predictions for newly-graduated freshmen are bold, but the freshman crop is a good one, if only because they played the strong Gaelets to a scoreless tie, and with so many of them returning, they will surely strengthen Lewis' squad. Weather Good Practice has been made easier so far, due to the very kind weather man. The men have been gobbling up fundamentals and slicing off the excess weight in fast time (TheFoghorn).
