Frosh Fullback: Another very valuable addition to the Freshman gridiron squad showed up for practice yesterday. He is Cliff Fisk, brother of the center, and rumored to be a "coach's dream" as far as fullbacks go (and we know that they can go plenty far). Fisk tips the scales at about 190 pounds and ascends close to six feet two inches. His punting, passing and plunging ability stamps him as a triple-threat.

Oakland baseball scouts are eyeing Cliff Fisk as a possible answer to the Oaks battered pitching staff. Cliff hurled batting practice for the Oaks last week. Don't be surprised if the Oaks take him on . . . they go for college boys and Cliff went to college. Cliff Fisk will next year be playing for the Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins or some pro outfit.

Up to this point the Dons seemed badly tied up and jittery. This was proven by the reaction to a quip by Walt Pudoff, who, feeling the tension, called to Cliff Fisk: "Hey, Cliff, let's have a little fun in this game." The next play Fisk passed 15 yards to Mosconi who went 52 yards to a touchdown. The final Don score came a few minutes later when Fisk powered over from the one-yard line. Marv Mosconi and Stan Mohr turned in their best performances this season. Cliff Fisk's kicking was sensational. Don ends Russ Kynock, Pete Breceda, and Bill Telesmanic, as well as tackle Bob Keith, and guard Dick Eisenlauer were superb this year. San Francisco fans would like to see the local boys in the lineup (TheFoghorn).

Clifford Fisk was born on June 30, 1918 in Orland, CA and attended Willows High School. He was the younger brother of Dan Fisk. After graduation, at 6' 1", 220 lbs, Fisk played for the San Francisco Packers from 1944 to 1946 until he joined the San Francisco Clippers. In 1948 he played for the Hawaiian Warriors.
