Jannik was second in points (36), goals (13), and in assists (10) for the 1994 Women's Soccer team. She was one of three players who had more than 7 goals per year:Â Â Jannik Abel (13 goals), Kelli Bryant (13 goals) and Erin Killough (seven goals) accomplished the feat in 1994.
USF took the early advantage just rwo minutes into the game, when sophomore forward Jannik Abel took a pass from sophomore defender Kim Leavitt, and beat the UCLA goalkeeper with a 6-yard shot to the left corner. However, UCLA freshman Traci Arkenberg equalized in the 30th minute with a 25-yard blast that was tipped by USF keeper Wingert and deflected off the crossbar before sneaking past the plane of the goal.
Sophomore midfielder Jannik Abel added two goals, her sixth consecutive scoring game. Her 32 points on the season (11G/1OA) place her tenth in the nation and only nine points shy of the USF team record (TheFoghorn).
