USF was overpowered early despite another late inning rally as San Jose's DH Kraig Constantino went 4-for-4, including a home run, to lead the Spartans to a 8-5 victory over the Dons. USF rallied in the bottom of the ninth when Aaron Jones led the inning with a walk and freshmen Ben Mohr and Mark Frizzi each added key pinch-hits, with Frizzi driving a run with a double to right field.
USF freshman Ben Mohr had the biggest hit of his Dons' career by doubling to left and bringing home Bob Freschi, who led off with a single; then scoring on an error himself on an errant throw by the Broncos' catcher into the outfield (TheFoghorn).
